20 Day Birding along the Canning Stock Route & Newhaven Search for the Princess Parrot!
In 2008 we also have a Birding on the CSR Tour, that follows on from our popular tour in 2004! This tour is of shorter duration and will start the traverse from Alice Springs and access the Canning from Gary Junction Road. Princess Parrots are regularly seen in the area around Wells 39-40 near Lake Tobin during winter.

Birding Corner Country & Red Centre 2008 We see the opal mines set in the richly coloured hills around White Cliffs. Have a drink at the local Pub at Tibooburra. See the sparse saltpans or the Sturt National Park. Travel through the gentle undulations of the Corner Country. Take a scenic flight over Lake Eyre. Take a refreshing dip at a natural waterhole at Muloorina Station. Travel the Oodnadatta Track to Coober Pedy. Climb Uluru and walks amongst the Olgas and walk the rim of Kings Canyon!

Birding in North West NSW (Accommodated) Join us for a 9 day fully accommodated tour to North-West NSW and Western Queensland. We travel via Dubbo and Bourke to Coomeroo Station, a private property on the Maranoa waterhole. We also visit Currawinya National Park, which has wetlands, lakes and rivers which contrast sharply with the rocky ranges and semi-arid SW Queensland. We have a BBQ dinner beside the waterhole at Bowra Station watching the birds come in for a drink. Lightning Ridge beckons for a soak in the hot springs before arriving at Camp Cypress, Baradine for birding. We stay at a selection of three-star hotels, lodge-style at Baradine and farmstay near Bourke.
