15 Day Carnarvon Gorge, Lawn Hill & Gulf Crossing 2008
A tour that takes in the best of the remote parks of outback Queensland. Explore Carnarvon Gorge, known for its Aboriginal Art, rugged mountains, forest, rock overhangs and deep gorges. Lawn Hill is a permanent water source which supports a habitat for tropical vegetation, including Cabbage Palms and Leichhardt Palms. We spend time exploring and walking in the gorges and also take a canoe ride to see the spectacular falls. Travelling home we explore a unique pubstay, the Blue Heeler Hotel at Kynuna, Charters, Towers, Longreach and the Matilda Highway and Charleville.

See the sparse saltpans or the Sturt National Park. Travel through the gentle undulations of the Corner Country. Experience the Wilderness Sanctuary of Arkaroola and its outback atmosphere. Take a scenic flight over Lake Eyre. Take a refreshing dip at a natural waterhole at Muloorina Station. Travel the Oodnadatta Track to Coober Pedy. 16 Day WA Wildflowers 2008
A camping expedition across the continent to see the WA Wildflowers blooming at their peak. Starting in Alice Springs, we see those wildflower carpets while travelling west across the Gibson Desert! On arrival at the western coast we visit the friendly dolphins at Monkey Mia and spend time at the Stromatolites at Hamelin Pool and Shell Beach. We will see many unusual plant species at Kalbarri NP and Western Flora, a private property with a passionate cause for native wildflowers. Exploring the SW corner of WA, well known for many wildflowers we finish the tour in Perth. Our guide will be Dick Burns, botanist. Dick has travelled and guided with us extensively over the last few years. Dick will be on hand to lead, identify and point out plant species and those of interest to the group.

20 Day Bungles Broome & Beyond 2008
An Outback Track Tour taking in the Bungles, Broome and the best of NW Western Australia. Camp right inside the Bungles, before experiencing the beauty of Broome and Cable Beach. From Broome we travel along the Great Northern Highway to Port Headland. Port Headland handles the largest iron ore export tonnage of any Australian port. Salt production is another major industry. Heading away from the coast, we travel into iron ore country of the Pilbara with two nights at the mining town Tom Price. We also take a day trip out to the nearby Karijini National Park, a little known national park that has breathtaking gorges, crystal clear rock pools and offers stunning scenery in the Hamersley Ranges. Exmouth and the Cape Range National Park beckons, while our exploration includes Ningaloo Marine Park, one of the largest fringing coral reefs in the world.
We travel along the coast to Carnarvon and Shark Bay, for a stay at Denham, a relaxing seaside town, home of the friendly dolphins at Monkey Mia. We spend the whole day here and may take an optional Dugong Cruise. We make our way further along the coast to Hamelin Pool, were we see the ancient Stromatolites, one of the first signs of life on earth. We also visit Shell Beach, a 110km stretch of unique Australian coastline comprising of tiny shells. Our coastal sourjourn now complete, we travel inland form Geraldton to Mount Magnet a former gold mining town of Leonora. From here, we start our desert trek on the Great Central Highway to Warburton (excellent Aboriginal Art area) and Tjukayirla were we camp under the stars and enjoy the silence of the desert. Our tour visits Uluru before finishing in Alice Springs.

15 Day Kangaroo Island & Flinders Ranges 2008
A popular tour with our unique accommodation at historic Lighthouse Cottages on Kangaroo Island, we spend time exploring the island, with three full nights on the island. We visit Flinders Chase NP, the island’s protected northern bays and beaches. We visit Cape du Couedic and see colonies of New Zealand Fur Seals, visit Remarkable Rocks and see Seal Bay, where there is a permanent colony of Australian Sea Lions. We also spend time at Mt Gambier’s mysterious Blue Lake, The Great Ocean Road and the beautiful Wilsons Promontory.
