16 Day WA Wildflowers 2008
A camping expedition across the continent to see the WA Wildflowers blooming at their peak. Starting in Alice Springs, we see those wildflower carpets while travelling west across the Gibson Desert! On arrival at the western coast we visit the friendly dolphins at Monkey Mia and spend time at the Stromatolites at Hamelin Pool and Shell Beach. We will see many unusual plant species at Kalbarri NP and Western Flora, a private property with a passionate cause for native wildflowers. Exploring the SW corner of WA, well known for many wildflowers we finish the tour in Perth. Our guide will be Dick Burns, botanist. Dick has travelled and guided with us extensively over the last few years. Dick will be on hand to lead, identify and point out plant species and those of interest to the group.
